Liz at Living With Kids has asked for my highlights of 2009. So here goes…
1. Obama's inauguration. I was four when Neil Armstrong first set his human foot on the moon, and I clearly remember that day. I hope my daughter's remember where they were on 20th January 2009.
2. Our summer holidays. Spending six weeks with my parents in California was wonderful. The girls swam everyday in an OUTDOOR swimming pool. There was sun. Every day.
3. Red magazine. This may be narcissistic, but having having six people fawn over us at the Red Magazine mummy blogger photo shoot made a welcome change from the mundane life of a middle-aged mum.
4. Watching British Mummy Bloggers grow from just a handful of members at the start of the year to nearly 1000!
5. And last but not least …. my family! For all my whinging, I really am grateful.
So, Potty Mummy, Mothership, Alpha Mummy, Insomniac Mummy and Nappy Valley …. what were your highlights?

Only just picked up on this (dam’d life getting in the way of blogging again!), so will get onto it shortly – sorry for the delay (I’m currently trying to fit the vital things we need into only 10 suitcases. Who on earth suggested such a crazy thing?)

Thanks so much for the BMB network, very much appreciated. It has relaly connected me back to the UK in so many ways.
I’m going to do a similar list and link back to you and a few others, if that’s OK!

We were fortunate enough to take our boys to the inauguration but I wasn’t blogging at the time, perhaps I can do a post about it one year on. And summer in California? Yep, did that! Haven’t managed to get the copy of Red in our book stores yet, will look out for it.
Happy New Year!
Insomniac Mummy | 31st Dec 09
Fab list! I’d better get a move on if I’m gonna get mine up by midnight!

Thanks for the tag! Your year was a fantastic one. V. jealous of the six weeks in California. I hope this summer will be a sunnier one in New York….

I’m so envious of your summer holidays – what a fantastic way to spend them. Here’s to the Roaring Tenties – cheers! x

I think I want to move to California. Seriously. The weather here is depressing.
On a different note: it’s amazing what you’ve achieved in 2009. Well done!!
Happy New Year to you and your family!
