1. St James’s Club and Villas Antigua (my favourite!)

With 2 white sand beaches, 6 pools, 4 restaurants and grill, tennis courts, a spa and complimentary non-motorised water sports, it’s hard not to love this resort! We learned to windsurf, sail and the secret of jerk chicken. Venture off the resort for ziplining, swimming with stingrays and a visit to the historic Nelson’s Dockyard. You can do lots at St James’s Club – or just relax. Families will love it!

2. St. James’s Club Morgan Bay, St Lucia

St. Lucia has gorgeous beaches, verdant rainforest, a drive-in volcano, a cocoa plantation, the two glorious Pitons rising above the island…and in the midst of all this, St James’s Club Morgan Bay, a marvelous base for a family stay. At the resort, you can do watersports ranging from sailing to waterskiing, staff-organised games, a gym and tennis. Six restaurants, family and adults-only pools and nightly entertainment — all of it is included in your stay. In addition, you can book excursions on the resort catamaran, drive to the Hotel Chocolat plantation tour, snorkel, zipline and more.

3. Verandah Resort and Spa Antigua

With the largest pool on Antigua, plus a few more for good measure, two beaches, all-inclusive watersports and four restaurants, plus a kid’s club, the only tricky part is fitting everything in to a week. Even better, there was as much to keep adults very happy a three-year-old – the perfect family holiday combination.

Two beaches and six pools, you say? Gosh, that would even keep my two whirlwind toddler boys busy. It’s got to be St James’ Club and Villas, Antigua.
