CyberMummy: What will today bring? (w/links)

I'm still trying to digest yesterday — will write more about it later.

All I want to say is what is the obession with bacon and the Garofalo spaghetti was not meant to beat people with.

Below is the post I read during my welcome talk:

3 July 2010. 3am. I can't sleep. Too excited. I can't believe it is here. The starched white hotel sheets are bunched to the side; I've been twisting and turning all night. My body is tired, but my mind is alive.

I can't stop wondering: What will today hold? How will it go? Am I really going to meet all those lovely online friends? What will I say? What do you say to those you know so well in thought, but not in flesh. These friends have made me laugh at tales of poo and cry at posts of coping with cancer. I mean, I KNOW these woman. What a strange feeling to know someone you've never met. How different might this world be if we spent more time knowing rather than judging.

Anyway, I guess I'll know soon enough. I can hear the birds chirping outside.

Saturday 3 July, 2010. Ibis Hotel Earls Court London. CyberMummy here I come!

Looks like it was an amazing day – congratulations! I’m so jealous I couldn’t make it.
Any chance of moving it away from 4th July (just for me?!)

I hope you have a great break and thank you for organising this wonderful event. I hope you dont find my blog post overly critial (I really had the time of my life), but pretty please I can not go on a holiday with no flights, there is no way we could afford them!

Thanks so much Susanna for the great time. Really fab job all around. I too will be doing another post (I think my readers may get Cybermummy fatigue!) just on stuff that I learned that I found useful.
Should I add my post in this link? I see Sian already grabbed it on her site too? Well, adding it anyway!

So glad we finally got to meet. You three did such an amazing job it’s almost hard to imagine how much work you put in. Everything seemed to go very smoothly so if anything didn’t go according to plan, no one else was any the wiser.
