So, can you guess what this is?  And where this is? My clues are:

2. Somewhere over the rainbow …

3. Rarely spotted in the UK

4. A Scottish Isle

You get extra credit if you tell me what the black lines are.

    Ugh ugh ugh. I HATE those eyesore power lines. You should see our backyard–we’re fortunate to have one of those power poles in the corner.

    I thought they were phone lines or power lines? And I’m usually good at anagrams but I don’t do crosswords enough to know what the clues are asking for.

    I DO like it, though would never have got there by myself. Thanks Geeky Mummy. I’ve never got into the cryptic crossword thing. If someone says “this is an anagram”, then I’ll have fun solving it, but I never spot that that’s what the clue is.
    I got the power lines though. They are the scourge of all tourist photographers in the US (and Geeky Mummy talked about them recently in a photo post).

    Sugar! I’ve just got here and I suppose the quiz has already been solved. I would have bet on California, la Jolla to be precise, my fixation, since I found out you lived there! But I don’t remember the electricy lines over there….

    It is identical to the view from my office window today!
    “California blue skies” plus ubiquitous California power lines!
    Nice anagram, just wasted 10 minutes figuring it out while I should be working!

    Northern lights only slightly ruined by electricity lines (even remote Scottish islands need electricity, right, even if not pretty – thought they could hide them in the ground but let’s not have this debate right now).
