Have you heard? It's here. Summer. Very exciting news.
We made the most of all 1,440 minutes. We got up early, picked up some coffee and pastries at Cafe Nero and plopped ourselves down on the river bank.
As we munched our croissants and sipped skinny caps, we watched the world go by…
And the rowers…
And the boats…
Did I mention the boats?
OK, exactly where are these boats coming from (and who owns them?!)
At least this one is more reasonably sized.

Ah, summer… I hope that wasn’t all we’re getting! Was pretty great though, hey?

Lovely! I must say your drunks dress well, we are lucky if ours wear shirts.

England in the summer. You can’t beat it. Such a shame it only lasts for 5 minutes.

I love when parents make the most of each day with their kids. LOVE that last picture! Now there’s a more eco-conscious way to get around. Biking is one of the best memories from my childhood.

Oh yes! definitely made the most of it. We had lots of over cooked sausages on bbq and even got a little bit sunburnt. That was a brilliant summer… considering that here today, in our lovely Surrey Village, it feels very damp!

We sure did make the most of it.
Day out at a National Trust property armed with a picnic and a rug and a sense of adventure.
Children had a whale of a time, mummy and daddy basked in the sunshine and we felt like an old fashioned British family enjoying the gems of the countryside.

Yep that was it. Today summer’s gone again. Well, actually as I speak the sun has come out again. Not sure how I stumbled on your blog, but I loved reading it. Will try and call back again.

Looks lovely! We spent yesterday in a friend’s garden having a bbq. ‘Twas fabulous. Though hubby decided to be very British and not wear sunscreen and is now a bit pink. Silly man. I suppose I can’t deny him his birthright of sunburns in summer though. 😉
